Inside Explosion

The end of inter-term is coming and I am sad to let go. I had such an amazing time with friends and family. Being at home was wonderful as well as sharing the holidays with loved ones, and celebrating birthdays. whoo whoo. There were so many adventures that I will never forget. Mountain biking, gazing into old pirate ships, soaking in luxurious spas, reading, biking in downtown San Diego, running on the beach, the ZOO (twice), staring into sunset after sunset each one just as beautiful as the last, spying on dolphins surfing, along with the boys rafting, movies, laughter, cards, making trenches, and so much more. I am so blessed to have this life and thank you to all those that are in my life and for making it so wonderful!

I had lots of time to really be in the moment every where I was. There was no need to worry or to be held in tension over other things. Just caught up in my thoughts. It has been so fun biking to "work", if that is what it's
called, and to take the time to truly focus on our girls team (WCHS) and attend to their needs while doing something that their whole coaching staff loves so much, soccer.

Well, I am not going to cut this break short, just reminiscing. There is still a week left and I am going to enjoy every last drop of it! Oh gosh, I feel like I am going to explode inside.

Memory Loss

Scripture that has captured me today:

{Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account. Jesus the Great High Priest. Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has gone through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet was without sin. Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.} - Hebrews 4:13-16

{No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is brought to full expression in us} - 1John 4:12

Unicycle

(My bike broke when I was riding it)

When your back wheel keeps falling off, it might be Someone's way of telling us to slow down and admire our surroundings. Also to reflect, think, take a moment, and spend time with God. Every trial, tribulation, or set back is a way that God speaks to us, works with us, and transforms us. Thank the Lord for your troubles!

The World, Us, and God

Something new that God has been showing me lately is how wonderful His creation really is, and how unordinary it is for us to be alive here on this planet. I think that one trick the devil uses, that is very successful, is making every day seem ordinary and similar to one another. People get caught up in their to-do-lists and getting to the next day, the weekend, the next holiday, or what ever else we look forward to. We fail to remember that our lives can end this very instance. This might be harsh but it is true in every sense. Just as the Bible says, "our lives are like mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes". Before we know it it will all be over and we never once lived in the present.

Currently, we are living on a huge sphere that fly's around a burning fire ball in a galaxy among galaxies. Living things are all around us and we don't even notice them. Nothing about our lives is normal. The Bible also says that we have no excuse to not see God's glory because of His creation. The world is a beautiful place that has been twisted by the fall, but God is not gone from it.

We get distracted from admiring our Creator every day. Like I said before, God has been showing me how great His creation is by taking me on adventures that have shown me some breath taking things and I have become so humbled by admiring it.

Let's get out of our routine lives and just worship and recognize our Creator. When we get into robot mode lets shake ourselves out of it. Just think about how small we are in this world, how much God loves each one of us, what little time we have to live, and how we want to spend our time living.

I thought it was a good time to...
